PADARN WATERSPORTS CENTRE REFIT

Prior to our reopening for the May Bank Holiday weekend which has a promising weather forecast Boulder Adventures have refurbished the the Padarn Watersports Centre. Boulder Adventures are sure those of you who have visited before will see the improvements with a new boat racking system, improved changing rooms and showers. If you have not been to the centre before Boulder Adventures offer kayak hire on Llyn Padarn with Snowdonia as our backdrop. Also running adventure activities such as coasteering, gorge scrambling, canoeing and rock climbing. You can find Boulder Adventures beside the lake just off the Slate Museum car park in the beautiful Padarn Country Park. More info on Kayak hire here.

Over the last few years it seems to have become less acceptable to put down as many road miles for outdoor challenges. Perhaps the event that has been getting the most backlash has been the 3 Peaks, possible due to its increased popularity.

Llanberis Touring Park

Llanberis has a new Touring Park based on the edge of the village by the Glyn Rhonwy site. I was able to attend the opening yesterday on behalf of the Llanberis Development Group. The site looks extremely smart and professional, looks like it will be an asset to the village.

Just caught the best week of weather March has given us while visiting the Lakes, plenty of biking and exploring done around Hawkhead and Keswick areas.

Elin's Revenge, Sunday 16th Feb.

Had a good ride out on Sunday, for this year an unusually nice February day.

Scotland Biking Tour, Glen Tilt.

On day six of of the biking tour Helen made the team four, we headed out for an explore of Glen Tilt.

Scotland Biking Tour, Drummond Hill.

By day five we had made it to Aberfeldy and Mark joined the biking team. We decided to go for a short drive to Drummond Hill beside Kenmore in the Tay Forest Park.

Scotland Biking Tour, Ardgartan.

Heading north from Dumfires area to Aberfeldy we stopped off at Ardgartan. On day four of biking this day seemed like a lot of climbing.
